Are bedbugs at your next hotel?

By Laura Bly, USA TODAY

Unless you've been hiding under a (presumably un-infested) mattress, you already know that rampaging bedbugs are in danger of eclipsing al-Qaeda as Americans' biggest terror threat.

In their de facto U.S. capital, New York City, the tenacious bloodsuckers have reportedly been spotted in movie theaters, flagship retail stores and such tony digs as the Waldorf-Astoria. Thanks to postings on TripAdvisor.com and bedbugregistry.com, you can track their progress through such exotic outposts as Casper, Wyoming -- where a former hotel employee named "Anonymous" notes on bedbugregistry.com that the critters are a big problem, particularly during the spring and summer.
